Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1: ARRIVAL DAY
Arrival > Transfer to hotel (x 2). It is a 45 minutes drive Approx to the city. Passengers will be arriving at different times throughout this day, so there is no formal itinerary. This day is at leisure. This evening you can walk around the beautiful neighborhood of El Poblado filled with nice restaurants, coffee shops and radiant nature.
Day 2
9:00 AM A local guide will pick you up at the hotel to then take you to Comuna 13 city tour where you will be able to learn and see the transformation of one of the most dangerous places in Colombia during the 80s and 90s and how it has now become a place full of art and entrepreneurship. You will be back at the hotel after midday. (Wear comfortable walking shoes).
Day 3
8:00 AM Transfer to Guatape day tour (entrance to peñol stone not included) Approx one hour drive. Guatape is an interesting place to visit because you can climb up to the top of the Peñol rock which is a landform from where you can have a beautiful sight of the man-made hydroelectric dam of Guatape! After visiting the stone the transfer can take you to Guatape town where you can walk around and have lunch, when you are ready the transfer will take you back to Medellin.
Day 4
Transfer to airport to take flight to Cartagena (flight not included)
Day 5
8:00 AM Approx 3 hours walking city tour to get to know the amazing history of the first city of Colombia that declared the independence of Spain, the city still conserves the colonial style and is surrounded by a stone wall from the 16th century that served as a military architecture against the pirates attacks, now days is a UNESCO world-heritage site!
Day 6
8:45 AM Pick up transfer to the port where you will take the Catamaran boat day trip to Rosario Islands 9 AM – 5 PM. Here you are able to swim and snorkel in crystalline water and enjoy the Caribbean vibe in the best possible way! (Bring sunscreen, hat, bathing suit).
Day 7
Free day to explore the city
Day 8
Transfer to airport (x 1) Approx 20 minutes drive from the hotel.
