Day 1: 19 September 2023, Tuesday, Tashkent – arrival
Arrive in Tashkent. You will be met by Advantour driver and transferred to the hotel. Check in to the
hotel at noon. Free time.
Day 2: 20 September 2023, Wednesday, Tashkent – Samarkand
Breakfast. Start the Tashkent city tour at 10:00 by visiting the Old City of Tashkent. This area
encompasses the Khast-Imam Complex (famous for displaying one of the earliest copies of the Qur’an,
the Holy Book of Islam), and Chorsu Bazaar, where you can haggle for spices, dried fruit, and nuts. Then
take a ride on Tashkent Metro to the city center to visit Applied Arts Museum and walk through Navoi
Theater to Amir Timur Square where you will end Tashkent city tour. The city tour will take 4-5 hours,
after which you’ll have some free time. At 18:00, transfer to the railway station. The high-speed train
Afrosiyob, departs at 18:50 and arrives in Samarkand at 21:00 (300 km, 2h 10 min). Transfer to the hotel
for overnight.

Day 3: 21 September 2023, Thursday, Samarkand
After breakfast meet your guide and driver at the hotel lobby to begin the city tour in Samarkand. Visit
spectacular Registan Square, remains of Bibi Khanum Mosque, old oriental Siyob Bazaar , Ulugbek
Observatory, Shakhi-Zinda Necropolis and Gur Emir Mausoleum – authentic shrine of Tamerlane. Free
time. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: 22 September 2023, Friday, Samarkand – Penjikent – Samarkand – Bukhara
After early breakfast transfer to Uzbekistan-Tajikistan border Jartepa (50 km, 1 h). Customs and passport
control on both sides, cross the border, meet Tajik local guide and driver and drive to Penjikent (30 km,
40 min).
Sightseeing in Penjikent: Rudaki Museum , local Bazaar and mosque. Lunch at local restaurant. After
lunch drive to the ruins of ancient Penjikent located within 5 minutes drive from modern Penjikent.
Penjikent was a major Sogdian city dating back to the 5th century and was destroyed by Arab
conquerors in the 8th century.
Late in the afternoon return to the Jartepa border crossing, customs and passport control, continue to
Uzbekistan. Meet your driver and transfer to Samarkand. Arrive in Samarkand, free time.
At 20:00 transfer to the railway station. Take the high-speed Afrosiyob train departing at 21:00 and
arriving in Bukhara at 22:35 (270 km, 1 h 35 min). Transfer to the hotel for overnight.
Day 5: 23 September 2023, Saturday, Bukhara – Tashkent
Breakfast. Check-out from the hotel before noon. Enjoy a walking sightseeing tour with a guide in Old
City. Visit Lyabi Hauz Ensemble, Magoki-Attori Mosque, Chor-Minor Madrasah, trade domes, Kalyan
Minaret, Kalyan Mosque and Miri-Arab Madrasah, Ulugbek and Abdulazizkhan madrasahs, Ark Fortress,
Bolo-Khauz Mosque, Ismail Samani and Chashma-Ayub mausoleums. Free time till transfer to the
Airport to get the evening flight to Tashkent. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel for overnight.

Day 6: 24 September 2023, Sunday, Tashkent – Bishkek (flight 13:00 – 15:10 on WED, THU, SAT, SUN)
After breakfast at 10 am transfer to the airport to get the flight to Bishkek. Arrive in Bishkek, drive to
Burana Tower, which was part of the ancient city of Balasagun (11th to 13th centuries) and is now a
UNESCO World Heritage Site. After visiting the tower and the small museum nearby return to Bishkek.
Visit Oak Park, Ala-Too Square, Statue of Manas. See Philharmonic Hall and Victory Monument – bright
examples of Soviet architecture. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 7: 25 September 2023, Monday, Bishkek – Ala-Archa – Bishkek
After breakfast in Bishkek transfer to the Ala-Archa National Park (40 km). You will be in the alpine gorge
through which the fast flowing Ala-Archa River runs. The gorge is flanked by tall, snow-covered, peaks
with steep-sided, forested, mountain slopes. You will start your walk (3,5 km) from the alpine camp
(2200 m) to Ak-Sai waterfall–the height is 35 m (2700 m) – by the path which goes through conifer forest
and alpine meadows. Return back to the alpine camp. Transfer to Bishkek. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 8: 26 September 2023, Tuesday, Bishkek – departure
Transfer to the airport. Bishkek Manas Airport code is FRU Departure. End of the tour service.
Optional: extension to Kazakhstan
Day 8: Sept 26 Bishkek – Almaty
Transfer to the airport to get the flight to Almaty. Upon arrival check in the hotel and start the city tour.
Highlights of this day will include Panfilov Park, Zenkov Cathedral, Republic Square, and the Central State
Museum. A short drive (25 km) will take you to Chimbulak. Here, visit the ski resort and ride the cable
car to enjoy the amazing views of the snowy peaks of the Tian Shan Mountains. Our last stop of the day
will be the Sunkar Falcon Farm (from WED to SUN), where you’ll enjoy a spectacular show with specially
trained hawks – hunting with these magnificent birds is a distinguishing feature of the Kazakh way of
life. Return to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Duration of sightseeing tour: 5-6 hours
Day 9: Sept 27 Almaty – Charyn Canon – Almaty
Your guide and driver will meet you at hotel lobby in Almaty. Depart Almaty and drive to Charyn canyon
(220km, 3-4h). Arrive in canyon. Have some time for picnic and rest. After that walk along canyon and
enjoy its beautiful view. In the afternoon return to Almaty. Transfer to the hotel. End of the tour.
Duration: 9-10 hours
Day 10: Sept 28 Almaty – departure
Check-out from the hotel before noon. Transfer to Almaty International Airport. End of the tour service.
